In the article make urxvt looks better I wrote a description of these settings.

How to install Iosevka fonts and use them in urxvt

Make sure that fontconfig package is installed in the system:

sudo apt install --no-install-recommends fontconfig	# Generic fonts configuration library

The following commands download and add fonts to the system. The system fonts directory may differ (In the example above Debian is used):

mkdir /tmp/fonts-installing
cd /tmp/fonts-installing
wget https://github.com/be5invis/Iosevka/releases/download/v2.2.1/01-iosevka-2.2.1.zip # Current version
unzip 01-iosevka-2.2.1.zip
sudo mv ttf /usr/share/fonts/truetype/iosevka # Move only hinted Iosevka fonts to the system truetype fonts directory (May differ in other systems)
ls /usr/share/fonts/truetype/iosevka # All truetype Iosevka fonts
...
Iosevka-bold.ttf
Iosevka-medium.ttf
Iosevka-thin.ttf
Iosevka-regular.ttf

See the page Iosevka Releases for more recent releases.

Then we need to update the list of available fonts:

sudo fc-cache

See for Iosevka fonts:

fc-list | grep Iosevka
...
/usr/share/fonts/truetype/iosevka/ttf/iosevka-mediumitalic.ttf: Iosevka, Iosevka Medium:style=Medium Italic,Italic
/usr/share/fonts/truetype/iosevka/ttf/iosevka-bolditalic.ttf: Iosevka:style=Bold Italic
---And more

Use them in urxvt config with 14 pixelsize:

URxvt.font: xft:Iosevka:size=14, Iosevka Medium:style=Medium Italic,Italic
URxvt.boldFont: xft:Iosevka:size=14,style=Bold Italic

See the end of this article: Make urxvt looks better. I wrote there how to find out the font name and its available styles.
